A Community Fights for Representation

In 2020, a middle school in Orlando, changed its name from a Confederate General, to that of an Afro-Latino icon, humanitarian, and baseball hero: Roberto Clemente. La Vida Baseball traveled down to Florida to chronicle this inspiring story. Along with the Senior Producer, we brought this story to life and shared it across La Vida Baseball's digital platforms. This video received the Silver Award at the 2023 Telly Awards in the Diversity and Inclusion category.
